Y Cygni (Jawi: ‏واي سيڬني‎code: ms is deprecated ‎) ialah sistem bintang binari spektroskopi gerhana dan bergaris dua dalam buruj Cygnus. Ia terletak kira-kira 4,900 light-year dari Bumi. Sistem ini merupakan salah satu binari pertama dengan pengesanan yang meyakinkan tentang liukan apsidal.^[4]

Kedua-dua bintang itu, sebagai bintang urutan utama jenis O, mengorbit antara satu sama lain dengan tempoh hampir 3 hari.^[4]

Sejarah pemerhatian

Jenis awal Y Cyg menjadikannya sasaran popular untuk ahli astronomi pada masa lalu, dan orbit spektroskopi telah dikira secara sejarah beberapa kali.^[5] Kajian pertama ini diterbitkan pada tahun 1920 oleh John Stanley Plaskett.^[6] Kajian spektroskopi meluas Y Cyg telah dijalankan seawal tahun 1930.^[7] Beberapa susulan kepada ini telah diterbitkan pada tahun 1959,^[8] 1971,^[9]^[10] dan 1980^[11]. Yang terakhir ini mengandungi anggaran tempoh liukan apsidal.
