Deskripsi

Chrysosplenium oppositifolium adalah tumbuhan kecil yang merambat dan sedikit berbulu, dengan batang berbentuk persegi. Daunnya tumbuh berpasangan secara berlawanan, berbentuk bulat atau lonjong, dan memiliki tepi yang tumpul. Bunga-bunga kecilnya berukuran antara 3 hingga 4 mm dan dikelilingi oleh daun pelindung (braktea) berwarna kuning kehijauan yang cerah.

Tumbuhan ini berbunga dari bulan Maret hingga Juli.

Distribusi dan habitat

Tumbuhan ini asli dari Eropa (Belgia, Cekoslowakia, Denmark, Prancis, Jerman, Britania Raya, Irlandia, Italia, Belanda, Norwegia, Polandia, Portugal, Spanyol, Swedia, Swiss, dan bekas Yugoslavia).[1] Tumbuhan ini pertama kali dideskripsikan oleh Carl Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.[3] Tanaman ini mampu mentoleransi tingkat cahaya rendah hingga 24 lux.[4]

Tumbuhan ini lebih suka tumbuh di tempat yang lembap dan teduh, sering kali di tepi aliran air atau di hutan yang lembap.
