Barberini adalah sebuah keluarga bangsawan Italia yang mengembangkan pengaruh di Roma pada abad ke-17. Pengaruh mereka memuncak ketika Kardinal Maffeo Barberini terpilih pada tahta kepausan pada 1623, sebagai Paus Urbanus VIII. Istana kota mereka, Palazzo Barberini, (diselesaikan pada 1633 oleh Bernini), yang sekarang menjadi Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica (Galeri Nasional Seni Rupa Kuno).
