Макс Ве́лманс (англ. Max Velmans ; род. 27 мая 1942 ) — британский психолог и философ сознания , создатель теории рефлексивного монизма [англ.] .
Биография
В 1963 году получил бакалавра естественных наук по электротехнике в Сиднейском университете .
В 1974 году получил доктор философии по психологии в Бедфордском колледже [англ.] .
С 2006 года — профессор-эмерит кафедры психологии Голдсмитского колледжа Лондонского университета .
Действительный член Британского психологического общества , Академии социальных наук [англ.] (Великобритания)[ 1] [ 2] .
В 1994 году выступил одним из инициаторов создания Секции исследований сознания и экспериенциальной психологии (англ. Consciousness and Experiential Psychology Section ) в Британском психологическом обществе (официально создание Секции было утверждено членами БПО в 1997 году). В 2004—2006 гг. возглавлял эту секцию.
Получил широкую международную известность в академических кругах благодаря своей теории рефлексивного монизма[ 3] .
