Макс Ве́лманс (англ. Max Velmans; род. 27 мая 1942) — британский психолог и философ сознания, создатель теории рефлексивного монизма^[англ.].

Биография

В 1963 году получил бакалавра естественных наук по электротехнике в Сиднейском университете.

В 1974 году получил доктор философии по психологии в Бедфордском колледже^[англ.].

С 2006 года — профессор-эмерит кафедры психологии Голдсмитского колледжа Лондонского университета.

Действительный член Британского психологического общества, Академии социальных наук^[англ.] (Великобритания)^[1]^[2].

В 1994 году выступил одним из инициаторов создания Секции исследований сознания и экспериенциальной психологии (англ. Consciousness and Experiential Psychology Section) в Британском психологическом обществе (официально создание Секции было утверждено членами БПО в 1997 году). В 2004—2006 гг. возглавлял эту секцию.

Получил широкую международную известность в академических кругах благодаря своей теории рефлексивного монизма^[3].
