Winchester (atau dikenal dengan nama Winton dan Wintonceastre) adalah sebuah kota katedral bersejarah dan bekas ibu kota Inggris. Kota ini terletak di county Hampshire, Inggris Tenggara. Menurut Sensus Britania Raya 2001, Winchester memiliki populasi sebanyak 41.420 jiwa.[1]
Winchester berkembang dari kota Romawi Venta Belgarum, yang dikembangkan dari oppidum (pemukiman kuno) pada Zaman Besi. Markah tanah utama Winchester adalah Katedral Winchester, yang merupakan salah satu katedral terbesar di Eropa. Kota ini juga menjadi lokasi bagi Universitas Winchester dan Winchester College. Seseorang yang berasal atau tinggal di Winchester kadang-kadang secara lokal dikenal dengan sebutan Wintonian.[2]
