Snakehips adalah duo asal Inggris. Duo ini beranggotakan Oliver Lee dan James Carter. Snakehips mulai terkenal setelah me-remix bersama Hype Machine untuk Banks, The Weeknd, Bondax dan Wild Belle.

Kehidupan awal

Oliver dan James bertemu di Hong Kong tahun 2012, ketika bekerja di bar sake, Sake Bar Ginn.[1] Mereka mulai dekat karena selera musik yang mirip dan setuju untuk bertemu kembali sebelum perjalanan berakhir.[2] Mereka kembali ke London dan akhirnya membentuk Snakehips.

Karier

2014-15: Breakthrough

Mereka merilis singel debut mereka, "Days with You" pada Agustus 2014. Lagu tersebut menampilkan vokal dari Sinead Harnett.[3] Pada Maret 2015, mereka merilis album mini, Forever, Pt. II.[4] Pada Oktober 2015, mereka merilis singel "All My Friends" menampilkan Tinashe dan Chance the Rapper.[5] Lagu tersebut mencapai posisi 5 pada UK Singles Chart.

2016-sekarang: Album debut mendatang

Snakehips merilis beberapa singel pada tahun 2016 dan 2017, termasuk "Cruel" bersama menampilkan penyanyi mantan anggota One Direction, Zayn dan "Don't Leave" menampilkan penyanyi asal Denmark, MØ.
