Rahonavis adalah sebuah genus theropoda mirip burung dari Periode Kapur Akhir (Maastrichtian, dari sekitar 70 sampai 66 juta tahun lalu) di apa yang kini menjadi Madagaskar barat laut. genus tersebut diketahui dari sebuah sebagian kerangka tulang (UA 8656) yang ditemukan oleh Catherine Forster dan para koleganya di bebatuan Formasi Maevarano, dekat Berivotra, Provinsi Mahajanga.[1]
