Lagenaria atau dalah genus tanaman merambat yang mengandung labu dalam keluarga labu ( Cucurbitaceae ). Lagenaria berisi enam spesies, yang semuanya berasal dari Afrika tropis. Spesies paling terkenal, calabash atau labu botol, L. siceraria, telah didomestikasi oleh manusia, dan telah menyebar ke luar Afrika. Spesies lain tidak dibudidayakan. [1] Labu dari berbagai spesies dapat dipanen muda dan digunakan sebagai sayuran. Lebih umum, labu dipanen matang, kemudian dikeringkan, dan digunakan dalam pembuatan perkakas (termasuk alat musik dan wadah). Labu L. siceraria telah digunakan untuk menyimpan air dan cairan lainnya sejak zaman kuno.
