Daboia adalah marga beludak yang penyebarannya meliputi wilayah Mauritania di gurun Sahara utara hingga Asia Selatan, Tiongkok selatan, Taiwan, dan Asia Tenggara (Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Kamboja, dan di Indonesia hanya di Jawa Timur dan NTT).[1][2] Tipe spesies adalah Beludak Russel (Daboia russelii) dan merupakan ular yang cukup sering menimbulkan kasus gigitan mematikan di India.[3][4][5]
