Barosaurus (/ˌbæroʊˈsɔːrəs/ dari kata Yunani barys (βαρυς), berarti "berat" dan sauros (σαυρος) berarti "kadal") adalah genus dari dinosaurus sauropoda diplodocidae herbivora yang berkerabat dekat dengan Diplodocus yang lebih umum dikenal. Barosaurus

Rekonstruksi seniman (paleoart) dari Barosaurus yang sedang membela diri dari Allosaurus

berasal dari Formasi Morrison di Utah dan Dakota Selatan lapisan stratigrafi 2-5, yang berasal dari kala Jura Akhir.[1] Individu dewasa dari genus ini dapat tumbuh mencapai panjang 25-27 meter, dan berat 12-20 ton.[2][3][4] Tengkoraknya lebih ramping daripada diplodocid lainnya.
