Suku terong-terongan atau Solanaceae adalah salah satu suku tumbuhan berbunga. Suku ini memiliki nilai ekonomi cukup tinggi bagi kepentingan manusia. Beberapa anggotanya, seperti kentang, tomat, serta cabai menjadi bagian utama bahan pangan manusia di berbagai belahan dunia. Beberapa sayuran lainnya, seperti terung dan ranti (leunca), juga menjadi bagian menu pula. Tembakau adalah tanaman budidaya penting yang daunnya dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku industri rokok dan cerutu, sekaligus sebagai sumber pestisida ramah lingkungan. Beberapa jenis lain merupakan tumbuhan pengganggu (gulma).
