Pindah agama

Pindah agama adalah adopsi serangkaian kepercayaan yang teridentifikasikan dengan suatu mazhab keagamaan tertentu untuk keluar dari kepercayaan lainnya. "Pindah agama" akan dianggap murtad bagi agama yang ditinggalinya dan tobat bagi agama yang dimasukinya. Ini juga meliputi perpindahan dari satu mazhab ke mazhab lainnya, contohnya, dari Gereja Protestan ke Gereja Katolik atau dari Syiah ke Sunni.[1] Dalam beberapa kasus, pindah agama "menandai perubahan identitas keagamaan dan disimbolisasikan lewat upacara-upacara khusus".[2]
