Clarify Please Most Simply What This Thing Does
After reading the article, I still wonder what this thing does??? Is it a storage dongle that if you put media on it with your computer, it will then play it on a TV (which can already be done with a wire from the computer to the TV)? Is it a network interface so that if your home network is putting out media, the TV can receive it & play it too? Just simply add to the article a clear, simple description of what it does, please. The Amazon Fire Stick is a small device the size of a flash drive that plugs into a TVs HDMI port. The Fire Stick enables any TV to stream content over WiFi such as Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Pandora, HBO etc. Introduced in 2014 the Fire Stick is in competition with Google Chromecast, and Roku.

Fire Stick Dimensions
The length of the Gen1 Gen2 firestick is misleading. Gen1 includes the HDMI connector, Gen2 length is only for the case. The Gen2 case length is almost identical to the Gen1 length with HDMI connector: the two length values shown here. See this YouTube video LarryLACa (talk) 19:36, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

information is a mixture of the 1st gen and 2nd gen combined. they must be separated and differentiated appropriately. 2600:8807:301:9100:1F58:8A9A:2A8C:C86F (talk) 18:01, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
article is written like an ad
It shouldn't say this"Pretty much any TV that you can buy today comes with WiFi connectivity, a proprietary operating system, an app store, and popular platforms like Netflix, Disney+, and Prime pre-installed. And as TVs without these features become increasingly rare, the term “Smart TV” is beginning to disappear as we get used to the fact that there’s no other kind. And yet today’s so-called Smart TVs don't always live up to your demands. Most TV manufacturers only provide software support (e.g. operating system and security updates) for two to three years. Worse yet, their app stores are often painfully limited, lacking listings for popular and important software that would allow you to do more with your screen. Limit excessive 3rd Party Apps
the 3rd Party apps section of the page lists 48 apps long. can we limit to the biggest 5 to 12 apps? 'some of the most popular 3rd party apps include...'
i also may be out of line in this matter but shouldn't the apps themselves link to the actual store page? for example this is the Disney+ store page on the amazon webstore A-real-refridgerator (talk) 14:06, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
