Thierry Repentin (kelahiran 1963) adalah seorang politikus Prancis. Ia menjabat sebagai Menteri Urusan Eropa.

Biografi

Kehidupan awal

Thierry Repentin lahir pada 5 April 1963 pada Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte.[1][2] Ia menempuh pendidikan di Chambéry dan lulus dari Institut Pembelajaran Politik Grenoble di Grenoble.[2]

Karier

Ia bekerja sebagai asisten parlementer Jean-Pierre Cot.[2] Ia kemudian bekerja sebagai asisten Louis Besson ketika ia menjadi Wali Kota Chambéry dan kemudian ketika ia menjadi Sekretaris Perumahan dibawah kepemimpinan Lionel Jospin dari 1997 sampai 2001.[2]

Dari 1995 sampai 2001, ia menjabat sebagai Deputi Wali Kota Chambéry.[2] Sejak 2008, ia menjabat sebagai Deputi Wali Kota Sonnaz.[2]

Ia menjabat sebagai anggota Senat Prancis, mewakili departemen Savoie, dari 26 September 2004 sampai 21 Juli 2012.[1] Ia adalah anggota Partai Sosialis.[1] Pada 13 Maret 2013, ia dilantik menjadi Menteri Urusan Eropa.[1]
