The Bombay Chronicle adalah sebuah surat kabar berbahasa Inggris, yang diterbitkan dari Mumbai (sebelumnya Bombay),[1] dimulai pada 1910 oleh Sir Pherozeshah Mehta (1845-1915), seorang pengacara terkemuka, yang kemudian menjadi presiden Kongres Nasional India pada 1890,[2] dan seorang anggota dari Dewan Legislatif Bombay pada 1893.[3] J. B. Petit telah membantu Mehta dalam meluncurkan surat kabar tersebut dan kemudian melanjutkan untuk mengontrol Indian Daily Mail.[4] Dari 1913 hingga 1919, surat kabar tersebut disunting oleh B. G. Horniman.[5]

Surat kabar tersebut adalah surat kabar Nasionalis penting pada masanya, dan pencatat penting dari pergolakan politik di India pra-kemerdekaan yang mudah berubah.[6]

Surat kabar tersebut diberhentikan pada 1959.[7]
