FV4201 Chieftain adalah tank tempur utama Britania Raya pada tahun 1960-an dan 1970-an. Tank ini adalah salah satu tank paling modern pada masanya. Pada saat produksinya pada tahun 1966, tank ini memiliki meriam utama dan pelindung paling kuat dari tank manapun di seluruh dunia.[2] Tank ini juga memperkenalkan posisi pengemudi telentang.
