Sydney John "Syd" Chaplin (16 Maret 1885 – 16 April 1965) adalah seorang aktor Inggris. Ia adalah kakak seibu dari Sir Charlie Chaplin dan menjabat sebagai manajer bisnis-nya, dan paman tiri dari aktor Sydney Chaplin (1926–2009), yang mengambil nama dari namanya.
Kehidupan awal
Chaplin lahir dengan nama Sydney John Hill, saat Hannah Hill berusia 19 tahun di London. Hannah mengklaim ayah Sydney adalah seorang pria bernama Sydney Hawkes, tetapi identitas ayahnya tak pernah terverifikasi. Ia mulai memakai marga Chaplin setelah ibunya menikah dengan Charles Chaplin, Sr., setahun setelah kelahirannya.
Dalam budaya populer
