Robertson dan berdasarkan pada novel Sentimental Tommy dan Tommy and Grizel karya J. M. Barrie. Film tersebut dijadikan sebagai kendaraan bintang untuk pemeran Gareth Hughes. Versi awal dari film tersebut menampilkan Mary Astor tetapi adegannya dihapus sebelum dirilis.[1]
