Rentep (Drynaria propinqua (Wall. ex Mett.) J. Sm. ex Bedd. adalah sejenis tumbuhan paku epifit anggota suku Polypodiaceae. Tumbuhan ini umum dijumpai di ketinggian menengah hingga pegunungan (elevasi lebih dari 200 m dpl), menempel di batang pohon hingga kadang-kadang menutupi hampir seluruh permukaannya. Rimpangnya relatif tebal, tertutupi rambut berwarna coklat. Daunnya memiliki dua tipe: daun yang duduk pada rimpang, kecil, dan steril, serta daun yang bertangkai, bercangap lebih dalam dan berukuran lebih besar. Daun bertangkai dapat membawa sori (struktur pembawa spora) yang tersusun teratur di tepi tulang daun samping di permukaan bawah (dorsal) helai daunnya dan menonjol hingga permukaan atasnya.
Rentep tersebar mulai dari Himalaya bagian timur, Tiongkok selatan, sampai Indocina, lalu "melompat" ke Jawa.
