Parodiophyllochloa adalah genus tumbuhan dari Amerika Latin dalam keluarga rumput.[2][3]
Nama genus Parodiophyllochloa diambil untuk menghormati Lorenzo Raimundo Parodi (1895–1966), seorang ahli botani dan insinyur pertanian asal Argentina, profesor botani di Buenos Aires dan La Plata yang berfokus pada rumput-rumputan Amerika Selatan.[4]
