Nothosaerva adalah genus monotipe dari tumbuhan berbunga dalam famili Amaranthaceae yang mencakup satu spesies tunggal, yaitu Nothosaerva brachiata. Spesies ini merupakan tumbuhan asli India, Sri Lanka, Asia Tenggara, dan Afrika bagian timur.[3]

Spesies ini pertama kali dideskripsikan pada tahun 1852 dengan nama Pseudanthus.[2][4] Nama tersebut ternyata merupakan homonim yang tidak sah, sehingga diganti namanya menjadi Nothosaerva pada tahun 1853.[1][5][6]
