Node-B

Node-B adalah satu istilah dalam teknologi telepon genggam UMTS untuk menandakan suatu BTS (base transceiver station, stasiun penerima untuk 3G, 3.5 G ataupun 4G) yang berbeda dengan BTS untuk GSM. Node-B mempergunakan WCDMA untuk teknologi transportasi udara seperti di semua seluler sistem UMTS dan GSM. Node-B mengandung pemancar frekuensi radio dan penerima yang dipergunakan untuk hubungan secara langsung dengan telepon genggam, yang bergerak dengan bebas di sekitarnya. Di dalam tipe ini telepon genggam tidak dapat berhubungan secara langsung tetapi berhubungannya harus melalui BTS terlebih dahulu.
