Metildopa adalah obat penurun tekanan darah dengan menurunkan kadar bahan kimia tertentu dalam darah. Penggunaan obat metildopa memengaruhi pembuluh darah (vena dan arteri) untuk rileks (melebar). Metildopa digunakan untuk mengobati hipertensi (tekanan darah tinggi).[2]
