Kindia adalah kota terbesar keempat di Guinea, terletak sekitar 85 mil timur laut dari ibu kota negara, Conakry. Perkiraan populasinya pada tahun 2008 adalah 181.126.[1] Kindia berfungsi sebagai ibu kota dan kota terbesar di Prefektur Kindia dan Wilayah Kindia. Ini juga membentuk sub-prefektur Guinea.

Kota ini didirikan pada tahun 1904 di rute Kereta Api Conakry di Kankan.[2]
