Burung kemade atau burung cabai adalah famili Dicaeidae dari burung pengicau. Keluarga ini terdiri dari dua genera, Dicaeum dan Prionochilus, dengan total 50 spesies. Keluarga ini terkadang termasuk dalam keluarga pinjantung yang berasal dari Nectariniidae. Keluarga ini tersebar melalui Asia selatan tropika dan Australasia dari India timur ke Filipina dan selatan ke Australia. Keluarga ini memiliki jangkauan luas yang menempati berbagai lingkungan mulai dari permukaan laut hingga habitat pegunungan. Beberapa spesies, seperti cabai benalu Australia, tercatat sangat nomaden di sebagian wilayah jelajahnya. [1]
