KaiOS adalah sebuah sistem operasi telepon genggam berbasis pada Linux yang dikembangkan oleh KaiOS Technologies (Hong Kong) Limited. Pemegang saham terbesar untuk KaiOS adalah perusahaan elektronik multinasional Tiongkok bernama TCL.[1]

Sejarah

KaiOS dikembangkan oleh sebuah perusahaan bernama KaiOS Technologies (Hong Kong) Limited yang berbasis di Kowloon, Hong Kong.[4] Peluncuran awal KaiOS diadakan pada tahun 2017 dan memiliki toko aplikasi khusus bernama KaiStore yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengunduh aplikasi berbasis web (HTML5). Sistem operasi KaiOS sangat ringan sehingga dapat berjalan pada ponsel biasa dengan RAM 256MB. Saat ini, KaiOS adalah sistem operasi telepon genggam terbesar ketiga di dunia.[butuh rujukan]
