Iresine adalah genus tumbuhan berbunga dalam famili Amaranthaceae.[2][1] Genus ini mencakup 20 hingga 25 spesies, yang semuanya asli dari daerah tropis Amerika. Nama generiknya berasal dari kata Yunani εριος (erios), yang berarti "berbulu", merujuk pada bunga-bunga yang tertutup trikoma.[3] Bloodleaf[4] adalah nama umum bagi spesies-spesies yang memiliki dedaunan berwarna, dan sering dibudidayakan sebagai tanaman hias. Beberapa spesies digunakan sebagai bahan tambahan dalam versi minuman halusinogenik ayahuasca.
