Inflikted merupakan debut album dari Cavalera Conspiracy di mana band ini dibentuk oleh duo Cavalera yang bersama kembali untuk pertama kalinya dalam 12 tahun terakhir sejak merilis album Roots milik Sepultura pada tahun 1996.

Max Cavalera mengatakan kalau secara musik Inflikted terdengar sangat mirip dengan nomor-nomor lama Sepultura namun dengan tambahan elemen hardcore dan punk. Band ini selain memiliki Max dan Igor Cavalera juga mengajak gitaris Marc Rizzo yang juga berasal dari Soulfly untuk bergabung plus bassist Joe Duplantier yang dikenal sebagai gitaris sekaligus vokalis di band metal asal Prancis, Gojira). Selain itu Cavalera Conspiracy juga mendapat kontribusi tenaga dari bassist Rex Brown yang merupakan mantan personel Pantera dan Down untuk ikut dalam satu lagu.
