Filum (dari bahasa Yunani; phylon (φῦλον, "race, stock"), berkaitan erat dengan phyle (φυλή, "puak, klan")[1][2]) adalah tingkat klasifikasi atau peringkat taksonomi di bawah kerajaan dan di atas kelas. Filum juga biasa dipakai dalam ilmu bahasa perbandingan.

Dalam biologi, klasifikasi ini menjadi: subfilum, kelas, ordo, famili, genus dan spesies.

Dalam ilmu bahasa, filum merupakan kelompok bahasa atau rumpun bahasa yang berpisah antara 50 sampai 100 abad yang lampau.[3]
