Curruca curruca adalah sebuah burung dalam genus Curruca, yang berkembang biak di Eropa beriklim sedang, kecuali barat daya, dan di barat dan tengah Palearktik. Burung kecil ini sangat bermigrasi, musim dingin di Afrika di selatan Sahara, Arab dan India.
Tidak seperti banyak warbler pada umumnya, jenis kelaminnya hampir identik. Ini adalah spesies kecil dengan punggung abu-abu, bagian bawah keputihan, kepala abu-abu dengan "topeng bandit" yang lebih gelap melalui mata dan tenggorokan putih. Ini sedikit lebih kecil dari whitethroat, dan tidak memiliki sayap kastanye dan warna kepala-seragam seragam dari spesies itu.
