Taksonomi

Botrychium simplex pertama kali dideskripsikan oleh Edward Hitchcock pada tahun 1823, berdasarkan material dari Conway, Massachusetts.[3]

Konservasi

Spesies ini terdaftar sebagai spesies perhatian khusus di Connecticut dan diyakini telah punah secara lokal.[4] Spesies ini terancam punah di Illinois, Indiana, dan Ohio. Ia terdaftar sebagai terancam punah dan punah secara lokal di Maryland, terancam di Iowa, rentan terhadap eksploitasi di New York, perhatian khusus di Rhode Island, dan sensitif di Washington (state).[5]

Spesies ini sangat langka di sebagian besar negara Eropa. Di Ukraina, hanya satu lokasi yang diketahui.[6]
