Attapulgit koloid aktif atau paligorskit adalah magnesium alumunium silikat alamiah yang telah dimurnikan dan diaktifkan dengan cara pemanasan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan adsorpsinya. Mineral ini berupa serbuk sangat halus, serta mempunyai pH antara 7,0-9,5. Attapulgit koloid aktif yang memiliki daya adsorpsi digunakan sebagai adsorben pada pengobatan diare.

Attapulgite diklaim dapat mengadsorpsi toksin, gas, bakteri, dan virus yang terdapat dalam lumen usus.[5]
