Anafase

Anaphase (dari bahasa Yunani Kuno ἀνα- (ana-), artinya "belakang, mundur", dan φάσις (phásis), artinya "tampak") adalah sebuah tahap dalam mitosis setelah proses metafase, saat kromosom yang telah mengganda terpisah pada sentromer dan kromosom-kromosom yang baru disalin (kromatid saudara)[1] bergerak ke kutub-kutub bersebrangan pada sel, tertarik oleh benang spindel. Kromosom mencapai kondensasi maksimum mereka secara keseluruhan pada akhir anafase, untuk membantu segregasi kromosom dan pembentukan ulang nukleus sel.[2] Di tahap ini sitokinesis mulai berjalan.[3]
