Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam[1] (lahir 16 April 1973) atau lebih dikenal dengan nama Akon adalah seorang penyanyi R&B dan rapper berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat berketurunan Senegal. Dia menjadi terkenal saat menyanyikan lagu utamanya seperti "Locked Up" dari album pertamanya Trouble. Dia berkarier di dunia musik sejak tahun 1996. Pada tahun 2009, Akon menjadi terkenal saat menyanyikan lagu utamanya seperti "Right Now (Na Na Na)" dari album Freedom.
