Fungsi
Badan Golgi memainkan peran kunci dalam pemilahan dan modifikasi protein yang diekspor dari retikulum endoplasma. ACBD3 berperan menjaga struktur Golgi dan berinteraksi dengan giantin, yang memengaruhi pengangkutan protein.[5] Protein yang dikodekan oleh gen ini terlibat dalam pemeliharaan struktur dan fungsi Golgi melalui interaksinya dengan protein raksasa membran integral. Gen ini mungkin juga terlibat dalam regulasi hormonal pembentukan steroid.[4]
