- Thanks for the message fahadsadah, but with the "Who care if they're contributors or vandels, Ban 'em All!" attitude to Tor users around here, I'm not exactly feeling very welcome.... TurningWork (talk) 23:01, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Message from IBISWorldWikiProject
Hi Turning Work. Because of the nature of what we do and the fact that the information being posted up is researched and written from a neutral viewpoint, I've been given instructions that as part of this project we should be allowed to link to publications, as long they are written from a neutral point of view, don't mention the IBISWorld name in the wiki entry, refrain from forecasting, stick to Wikipedia's style guide and incorporate references other then IBISWorld. We have access to a large library of encyclopedic style economic history that fits in with Wikimedia principles and can greatly add to Wikipedia's content. Please look at my post when you get a chance and see what you think?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_coal_mining#United_States
You can see that there are no forecasts and the information is based on economic and industry history and trends. We will make sure to also cite sources other then IBISWorld (such as what I did with the US Census Bureau). These trends do not promote any product in particular but add to the depth of content. —Preceding IBISWorldWikiProject (talk) 01:05, 1 May 2009 (UTC) unsigned comment added by IBISWorldWikiProject (talk • contribs) 06:00, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
I cleaned it up and removed the copyvio tag. Bearian (talk) 00:38, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, I've had a go at cleaning it up too, trying to remove some of the book-dust-jacket speak from it, although it's still very weak and I wouldn't be surprised if someone tries to speedy it as spam. TurningWork (talk) 08:32, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
I reverted to a pre-copyvio version and declined the speedy. Just fyi.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 17:38, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info, I though that version was still a bit too close to the vio source to be OK, is there a guideline available somewhere about how close is too close? TurningWork (talk) 17:40, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- If there was, you'd put a lot of copyright attorneys out of work. :) Feel free to edit it further, as per Wikipedia:Copyright violations.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 17:44, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- Lol, good point! OK thanks for the info, will take another look at the article later. TurningWork (talk) 17:50, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Heron Marked Barnstar
The Heron Marked Barnstar
I hereby award this Barnstar to TurningWork for their conspicuous effort editing and improving articles related to The Wheel of Time, specifically those on The Chosen. Your clarifications are an excellent improvement that make the articles much more accessible to those not familiar with the series. Tai'shar Wikipedia! Nutiketaiel (talk) 18:08, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Mufti Ebrahim Desai

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Mufti Ebrahim Desai. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mufti Ebrahim Desai. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:18, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
