Question from Wedysoft (14:45, 15 February 2026)
Hello, I have prepared a page and saved it as permanent. It has not been published for two months. Why? Do I receive a notification for ? Thanks. --Wedysoft (talk) 14:45, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Wedysoft: Hi, your page is located in the user namespace, you need to move it yourself to the main namespace. It may take some time after that before it gets approved by a new page reviewer though. Shellwood (talk) 15:13, 15 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Thisiscarmend (15:02, 17 February 2026)
Hi @Shellwood! I wanted to know if the process for creating Disambiguation pages is the same as creating other articles on Wikipedia? May I submit it for your review or can I create it anyway? Thanks! --Thisiscarmend (talk) 15:02, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Thisiscarmend: Hi, it depends on what you write on it, but generally it doesn't need any sourcing if it's just a list of links. This is a quick guide on the topic: WP:DDD. You can just submit it and someone will review it, it doesn't have to be me. Shellwood (talk) 15:16, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Greenchair222 (00:49, 19 February 2026)
How would I create a Wikipedia page? --Greenchair222 (talk) 00:49, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Greenchair222: Hi, your account needs to be autoconfirmed before you can publish any articles. That happens automatically after four days and once you have made ten edits. Until then, start by making a draft in your sandbox. This link contains useful information. Shellwood (talk) 12:40, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
Question from PhoeniciaHannibal (17:25, 1 March 2026)
Hello. I'm unable to edit an wikipedia page. Whenever I edit a Wikipedia page and publish it. It does not appear???. Specifically whenever i edit the Lebanon-UK relations or Lebanon Turkey relations pagePhoeniciaHannibal (talk) 17:25, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- @PhoeniciaHannibal: Hi, the pages you mentioned are not protected, so you should be able to edit them. As for your edit to the article about Lebanese nationalism, it was reverted since you removed a chunk of sourced content without explaining why. Also, did you create the accounts Phoenicia1234 and ThePhoenician2? Shellwood (talk) 17:50, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- hello. I did create the account ThePhoencian2. I originally wanted to name it ThePhoencian when I was making the account but said these was all ready a ussr name with that name so I added a 2. But when i logged out of the account I forgot my password so I made this account. I did not create Phoencia1234.
- I am unable to edit the wikipedia pages Lebanon-Turkey relations and Lebanon-UK relations.
- there are 2 reasons to why this is happening.
- A. This is only happening to me.
- B. This is some sort of error.
- Could you please do me a favour and try to edit both pages and see if your edit is saved or not when after pressing the publish button and then tell me the outcome. Of course you dont have to do this but you would be helping me. Thanks PhoeniciaHannibal (talk) 18:18, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- @PhoeniciaHannibal: The reason I asked about these accounts is that they all share similar names, a similar edit pattern and have been asking the same questions [1]. Administrators can check whether they come from the same IP address. You are allowed to create multiple accounts and there can be several legitimate reasons for doing so. Forgetting a password is understandable and a common reason for creating a new account. However, if you do so, you must be open and honest about it, see WP:SOCK. Another thing worth keeping in mind is something we call the three-revert rule (3RR), which states that one must not make more than three reverts within 24 hours on a page. Breaking this rule can lead to users being blocked and pages being locked. As for why you can’t edit these pages, I really can’t say. I see nothing in the edit filter being triggered. I suggest you ask at the Teahouse, where someone might have an idea if this problem persists. Shellwood (talk) 21:09, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- it's ok the problem has been solved. OK about the accounts. This is new and I did not know this until now. Someone who lives with me made an account called Phoencia1234 because they were interested in Wikipedia however they abandoned it. I became interested after I heard they made one. Me and this person have very similar interests just so you know so that's why me and this person have been editing and asking about similar things and topics. I was aware they made this account but not the name until I asked them. Thank you for your help I really appreciate it have a good day PhoeniciaHannibal (talk) 21:36, 1 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from KelliLove888 (00:11, 2 March 2026)
Hi! I am submitting the Wikipedia article for the musician and artist, Kelli Love. I am not Kelli Loce but I used a similar username Because I have been tasked with doing this in preparation for some bigger major releases she is gong to be featured on this year at the request of the label she will be featured on, We need to beef up the information for the public and go publishing purposes. Can you help me And let me Know when this will be visible! --KelliLove888 (talk) 00:11, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- @KelliLove888: First, you need to declare your conflict of interest and state who is paying you to edit, see this link:WP:COIE. We strongly discourage people from editing topics where they have a conflict of interest. Then there are the notability and verifiability issues. User-generated sources are not considered reliable sources and should never be used in biographies of living people. For example, Discogs is not okay, see WP:DISCOGS. The draft in its current form will never pass, there is not enough independent and reliable coverage of her. My advice to you is to find some other platform to promote her. Shellwood (talk) 00:35, 2 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Louis Zolotov (14:19, 5 March 2026)
I have found many of the edits that are appearing in Wikipedia to be tenditious. where someone has changed an entry and presented opinion as fact how can that be challenged. --Louis Zolotov (talk) 14:19, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Louis Zolotov: Everything we write here must be supported by reliable references. We don’t base our contributions on our own opinions, nor do we do original research. Broadly speaking, if someone adds unsourced material, it can be challenged and reverted. You can also start a discussion on the article’s talk page about the changes, see WP:BRD, that is often a good solution. Shellwood (talk) 14:38, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

I noticed that an article was inaccurate and I wish to update it. I have the tour schedule for Joe's Drum by John McGrath. I was a member of 7:84 theatre company in 1979 and know that the play toured until the 10th of November 1979. I have the complete schedule for the second tour of the play. The final performance was on the 10th of November 1979 in Cumbernaild theatre. How can I correct the article? --Ladahosen (talk) 15:57, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Ladahosen: Hi, if you spot an error, just change it. I left a welcoming template on your talk page that contains a useful introduction on how to get started here, including how to add references, links to policies and guidelines and how to manage conflicts of interest among other things. Question from AdarshMshra on Draft talk:Prafull Billore (05:01, 10 March 2026)
Hi, I have an article about a famous Indian entrepreneur, a public figure who I've seen has been covered in a lot of top-tier new media outlets. I wanted to create my first article, so I was trying to create it, but it got deleted. I don't know why. I didn't have ill intent. I just want to contribute to creating articles on wikipedia.
Can you help me do better? --AdarshMshra (talk) 05:01, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- @AdarshMshra: Hi, it was deleted under WP:G15 and it appears that you used an AI to write it. You also used user-generated sources, which are not considered reliable. I can't access the draft, so I don't know the exact details. Follow this guide if you make another attempt at creating an article. Shellwood (talk) 13:32, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:2026 in Mozambique

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Category:2026 in Mozambique requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Question from DJMCwiki (14:21, 13 April 2026)
Hi Shellwood, I've been assigned you as my mentor and hoping you might be able to help with something.
I submitted a COI edit request on the talk page of Amadeus IT Group on 2 February 2026. I'm a PR professional and Amadeus is a paying client, so I've followed WP:COI and WP:PAID and requested the change via the talk page rather than editing directly.
The request is a factual update to the company's office locations and employee count, supported by four published sources (including the company's own 2024 Global Report and its public locations page). The talk page note at the time said there were 480 requests in the backlog, and it has now been two months without a response. I completely understand volunteers are stretched, but I wanted to ask:
- Is there anything I can do to improve the chances of the request being reviewed?
- Is the request formatted correctly, or is there anything that might be causing it to be deprioritised?
- Is there a more appropriate noticeboard or WikiProject I should flag it to?
The talk page request is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Amadeus_IT_Group#c-DJMCwiki-20260202153400-Edit_request:_update_employee_count_and_key_sites_/_regional_offices
Thanks very much for any guidance. --DJMCwiki (talk) 14:21, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
- @DJMCwiki: Hi and thanks for being open about your conflict of interest. As your edit request was denied, I would like to emphasize that we rely on secondary sources when editing. You can read more about this at here, including why using primary sources such as your client's website is not appropriate. The article falls within the scope of several WikiProjects, but I wouldn't use any noticeboards for this. The article's talk page is the best place to resolve any concerns. Shellwood (talk) 18:56, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Shellwood, thank you so much for the feedback. I'll review the guidance you linked to and revisit the sourcing before resubmitting. I'll focus on finding independent secondary sources to support the proposed changes. DJMCwiki (talk) 13:13, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
Question from Aarongingras (15:55, 14 April 2026)
Hi Shellwood! I'm trying to get a wikipedia page for the company I work for create (Lob) https://www.lob.com
I created the article in the Sandbox and added the citations. It allowed me to publish and submit for review. Is there anyway to expedite the review process? Is this something you could do?
Thanks,
Aaron --Aarongingras (talk) 15:55, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Aarongingras: You need to declare your conflict of interest and also tag the draft if it gets accepted. This link explains how to do that: WP:COIE. We discourage people from editing about their employers. There is no way to speed up the process, as the reviewers are all volunteers and there is a queue, so this can take some time. Thank you for your message and guidance, Shellwood.
I've redrafted my first article and intentionally kept it brief while aiming to meet Wikipedia standards, since the first draft was rejected. I'd very much appreciate your editorial advice to ensure this version is acceptable, and learn how best to contribute to Wikipedia in general.
I'll post the draft article in my Sandbox now and then try editing some other articles to practice.
Kind regards GreenMarginalia --GreenMarginalia (talk) 05:05, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
- @GreenMarginalia: Hi, I suggest you contact the reviewer who declined your draft, as it has just been declined again. New Page Patrol Newsletter - May 2026
Hello Shellwood,

Backlog update
At the time of this message, there are 15,282 articles and 32,951 redirects awaiting review.
After the January–February drive the article backlog was reduced to 15,179 articles and the redirect backlog to 19,053 respectively. Great job! However, both queues are growing rapidly and any additional reviews are highly appreciated.
2024 and 2025 NPP Awards

Hey man im josh and MPGuy2824 won the Redirect Ninja Master Award for 2024 and 2025 respectively, for reviewing the most redirects.
Overall in 2024, one Platinum, two Gold, eight Silver, 12 Bronze and 45 Iron Barnstars were awarded. Additionally, 66 reviewers got the NPP barnstar for doing more than 100 reviews through the year. In 2025, one Platinum, ten Silver, 13 Bronze and 38 Iron Barnstars were awarded. Additionally, 38 reviewers got the NPP barnstar for doing more than 100 reviews through the year.
BoyTheKingCanDance, Rosiestep, SunDawn, and Vanderwaalforces were inducted into the NPP Hall of Fame for having two separate years of 2,000+ article reviews.
January–February backlog drive
The experimental two-month long backlog drive concluded with 183 reviewers patrolling over 27,761 articles and 35,309 redirects, earning over 36,836 points. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 6,484.6 points in this drive.
May backlog drive
An article-only backlog drive is currently underway. We are hoping to make a big dent in the backlog. You can read more about it or join at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Backlog drives/May 2026.
PageTriage
An attempt was made to get the New Pages Feed to sort by date marked as reviewed instead of date created. However we had to revert it due to bugs. We may try again in the future. You can subscribe to the Phabricator ticket if you're interested in following along.

Question from Anhalliday (15:24, 17 May 2026)
How do I create a citation? --Anhalliday (talk) 15:24, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Anhalliday: Hi, as noted on your talk page, this is a useful guide:Help:Referencing for beginners. When writing about living people, we must take extra care in selecting sources, see WP:BLP. Also, what is your connection to Alexander Halliday? Shellwood (talk) 16:03, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks. I am Alexander Halliday and I am trying to update my Wikipedia page, which is out of date and inaccurate. Anhalliday (talk) 10:56, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Anhalliday: Thanks for clarifying this. The reason I asked is because on Wikipedia we strongly discourage people from editing topics where they have a conflict of interest. In such cases, it's recommended that you use the talk page to make an edit request. However, per the BLP policy as outlined above, any unsourced content in an article about a living person can be challenged and removed by anyone at any time. I recommend that you use the article's talk page to explain your removal if you come across unsourced or incorrect content. It may seem a bit silly, but this applies even if you are the subject, see WP:TRUTH. All content must be verifiable. Another important point to keep in mind is the three-revert rule, which states that you must not make more than three reverts within a 24-hour period if your edits are being reverted. Violating this rule can lead to your account being blocked. Shellwood (talk) 15:06, 18 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from Jonmaysonnz (03:48, 19 May 2026)
Hello Shellwood, my name is Jonathan Mayson, and I am the subject of a Wikipedia page , alerted to it by my daughter, whoever posted it did not seek my permission and I have no idea who it was. I have no objection to its existence but would like it added to to tell the whole story. My daughter edited it to my satisfaction, but someone unknown has removed her editing. I understand that I should not do it myself so how can it be done ? --Jonmaysonnz (talk) 03:48, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Jonmaysonnz: Hi, the text that was removed in 2023 was done so with regards to the biographies of living persons (BLP) policy, which states that any unsourced content in an article about a living person can be removed by anyone. We also discourage people from editing articles where they have a conflict of interest, see WP:COIE, there is no outright ban for you or your daughter not to edit the article about, just strongly discouraged. Moving on from this I recommend that you make an edit request on the talk page if you feel that anything is missing, but the request should be based on reliable references. Hi, thanks for the mentor assignment. I've just disclosed a COI per WP:COI: my user page is at User:JerryBezencon-LinuxLite. Before I post the draft and the {{request edit}}, would you be open to looking over the sandbox once it's ready? Mainly want a sanity check on (a) the COI disclosure approach, (b) tone/NPOV, and (c) whether the sourcing is strong enough. No rush — I'd rather get it right than fast.

Question from Pr - Nina Rodriguez (14:43, 29 May 2026)
Hello,
I would like to ask for guidance on how to properly edit the Wikipedia page of the Colombian artist Nina Rodríguez.
I have noticed that the current article contains several factual errors and outdated information regarding her career, discography, and biography. I would like to contribute corrections, but I want to make sure I follow Wikipedia's guidelines and formatting requirements correctly.
Could you please explain the proper process for updating an artist's page? Specifically:
What is the recommended format for proposing corrections?
What types of sources are considered acceptable for verifying information about musicians and public figures?
If I have access to accurate information, how should I submit it while complying with Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest and verifiability policies?
Thank you for your time and assistance. I appreciate any guidance you can provide. --Pr - Nina Rodriguez (talk) 14:43, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Pr - Nina Rodriguez: Add this template to your user page: {{UserboxCOI|1=Nina Rodriguez}}. On Wikipedia we discourage people to edit topics where they have a conflict of interest. In such cases it's recommended that you make an edit request on the article's talk page. As this is about a living person, one must take extra care when adding new material, see WP:BLPRS. Any unsourced content can be removed by anyone, but use an edit summary if so to explain your actions. Shellwood (talk) 15:29, 29 May 2026 (UTC)

I want to publish a page for my father who is an artist --Singh pratap bharat (talk) 16:41, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Singh pratap bharat: Hi, writing about family members is something we advise against, you can read more about it here: WP:COIE. Then there is also the issue of whether your father is notable enough to warrant an article and if so this must be verified by reliable sources and depending on whether he is alive or not, the biographies of living persons policy applies.
