Restoring policy-violating edits
JeffSpaceman, please be more cautious when reverting edits. Your revert at Special:Diff/1344270740 restored content containing some of the most serious policy violations possible: racial slurs, antisemitic and homophobic commentary, extensive nonsense vandalism, and possible BLP violations. The content removed by the temporary account you reverted was entirely appropriate to remove and you should have read the material being restored before taking any actions.
You previously received a note from ScottishFinnishRadish about this exact issue: restoring content by reverting without checking what you were restoring. Please take extra care going forward, particularly when you are restoring an addition rather than removing obvious vandalism. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 07:01, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for the heads up. I deeply apologize for this mistake, and absolutely should have taken better care to assess the material I was restoring as you note. JeffSpaceman (talk) 10:10, 20 March 2026 (UTC)

James Garner
U reverted my edit on james garner about his caps for england, he played against japan tonight and also against uraguay so it should be 2 not 1, he came on as a sub but its still a "cap" for England, Thanks ~2026-20148-35 (talk) 22:00, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
- I reverted this edit because it appeared to be a test due to the italic text you added at the top of the page. Feel free to restore the edit without a mistake like that, and I will probably not revert it, in the event that the material is verifiable. JeffSpaceman (talk) 22:07, 31 March 2026 (UTC)

Deletion of my page!
Hello, you deleted my full page called 'Yaki Kadafi (rapper)' that I created with hard work and dedication, without my permission. If you want to make minor edits on it such a correcting spelling or adding more information that is okay. But I do not give you permission to delete my page. Please be cautious in future. Bananas!7786 (talk) 16:19, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, sorry for the late response. Your permission is not required for a page to be tossed out, especially when it meets the criteria of WP:G4 as that article did. You are free to develop the content in draftspace, but the sources you provided at that article did not show notability independent of the group, with the most significant independent coverage being about his death, which fails WP:BIO1E, as well as WP:NMUSICBIO. What you need are WP:SECONDARY sources that show notability in more than one context. Merely being a member of a notable group and having his death discussed by reliable news outlets are not enough, since notability is not inherited and the kinds of tragic circumstances the subject died under will receive effectively obligatory coverage. All this said, though, don't hesitate to work in draftspace -- I wish you luck on making the article, if you opt to continue doing so. JeffSpaceman (talk) 00:52, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, I understand I didn't meet the requirements but you could've shared the information with me before deleting the whole article so I could improve it. It upset me a little bit that my hardwork was quickly erased since it was the first article I ever created. Bananas!7786 (talk) 19:04, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
- + But I appreciate you conversating with me. Also I would like to ask out of curiosity, how come all the other Outlawz have pages but not Kadafi. It always seemed a little odd to me. Is it because of the points you mentioned Bananas!7786 (talk) 19:21, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
- Your work has not been completely erased -- the content is still in the page history if you look at Yaki Kadafi (rapper) (click on the page name when it redirects you to the article). If you would like to copy it over to draftspace, feel free to improve it there -- it is protected in article space because of repeated, unsuitable recreation attempts by various users per WP:G4 (and the various deletion discussions about the article, which you can see at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yaki Kadafi (3rd nomination)). The other Outlawz have pages because other editors have found enough reliable secondary documentation on those individuals to at least make them appear independently notable outside of the group, whereas most content that can be found on Kadafi independent of coverage of the group as a whole is about his death, which is not enough to meet the criteria of WP:NMUSICBIO. All this said, though, once again do not hesitate to develop the article in draftspace, if that is what you wish to do. JeffSpaceman (talk) 11:26, 18 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello
@JeffSpaceman. Hello! Good evening! Thanks for your edit on the Miles Routledge page! Because for the global people who read this encyclopedia, getting lost is out of the question! Happy editing! (Starwin7 (talk) 16:30, 18 April 2026 (UTC))
I think the IP may be right about Alyson King? The Who's Who page says 1976. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 20:56, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
- Yep, they're right. Self-reverted and warnings removed. Thanks for the heads up. JeffSpaceman (talk) 22:31, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
Adding Joel Brooks husband to Joel Brooks page
https://www.imdb.com/news/ni65792524/
In this weeks episode of Property Brothers: Under Pressure, Joel Brooks and husband CC mentioned they were married in 2019 ~2026-24189-54 (talk) 14:29, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry, but IMDb is not a reliable source per WP:IMDB. JeffSpaceman (talk) 17:34, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
Reverting vandals
Hi there, please don't get into edit-wars with vandals, especially on people's talk pages, where it's going to ping them every time (and maybe even send them an email). Just report and then revert after they're blocked. Thanks. :) -- asilvering (talk) 00:58, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- I'm sorry about that, I should have taken the fact that it was a user talk page into account more (I made this mistake a number of years ago). I'll take better care with it going forward. Thank you for pointing this out, and thank you for your help blocking the vandal. JeffSpaceman (talk) 01:01, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help also. :) -- asilvering (talk) 01:02, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
Minor issue
hey, you reversed the typo I fixed on Ian McWhinney, 100 percent sure it's a mistake Mart5290 (talk) 22:20, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hello. This was not a mistake, you added a typo. It's "a unique," "an unique" is ungrammatical. There is no vowel sound at the beginning of the word "unique." JeffSpaceman (talk) 22:21, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
Some sort of sockmaster/lta?
I've seen accounts a few times (not enough to remember where or when) have "this site will be restored in 5 minutes" in vandalism edit summaries. Is this some sort of LTA or repeat offender? Or is oit just me making unrelated things connect. Realtent (talk) 22:25, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- I honestly have no idea. I don't know if I've ever even seen it before -- I just reverted it as garden-variety vandalism. Feel free to inform me if you find any evidence showing this to potentially be an LTA of some type, though, whether through diffs or discussions. JeffSpaceman (talk) 22:34, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's just a vague recollection of one or two vandalism edits over the past month and I doubt I can find them, but I guess it's just me who's seen it. Sorry for the trouble Realtent (talk) 22:40, 25 April 2026 (UTC) Realtent (talk) 22:40, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- No need to apologize, this will help me if I ever encounter these types of edits again. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. JeffSpaceman (talk) 22:44, 25 April 2026 (UTC)

Sam Kuffour Jr
I can provide proof that Sam Kuffour Jr’s birthday is 25 October 2003. How do I prove it? Skuffour4 (talk) 20:54, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
- By citing a reliable source that directly verifies the content you're adding. See the embedded links here for further information. JeffSpaceman (talk) 20:55, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
- You can check FotMob and that shows his birthday is 25th October 2003 Skuffour4 (talk) 21:04, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
- Assuming this site meets the reliable sourcing guideline and WP:BLP policy (more specifically, WP:DOB), the burden is on you to cite this yourself, not for me to find it as someone who reverted your edit. JeffSpaceman (talk) 21:05, 27 April 2026 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – May 2026
News and updates for administrators from the past month (April 2026).

Interface administrator changes
- Changes to user permissions made from Meta are now included in the local user permissions log (T6055).
- The autoconfirmed user group will soon be modified such that the four-day account age requirement begins when an account makes its first edit (T418484).
- The arbitration case SchroCat has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case closed on 15 April.
- Per a recent motion, appeals of blocks from the conflict-of-interest VRT queue are, by default, appealed on-wiki through the normal unblock process. However, they may be heard by the Committee if COIVRTers disagree on the interpretation of the evidence or believe ArbCom would be better suited to hear the appeal. Administrators are also advised that loosening or lifting such blocks without the consent of someone with access to the queue or ArbCom can be grounds for desysopping.
- Per a recent motion, restrictions issued directly by the Committee may now be enforced with blocks which work exactly like contentious topic blocks.
- The arbitration case Maghreb has been closed.
- The May 2026 administrator elections are scheduled to run from April 29 to May 19. The call for candidates ends May 5.
- The 2026 Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) election is scheduled to run from April 25 to June 1. Candidacy submissions close on May 10.
- A new noticeboard for non-urgent, batch page protection requests has been created, primarily for the enforcement of contentious topic restrictions.
Administrators' newsletter – June 2026
News and updates for administrators from the past month (May 2026).

- Following an RfC, the "persistent usage of large language models" has been included as a common reason for a block.
- Mandatory 2FA for bureaucrats: Bureaucrats without two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled have already lost access to their advanced rights on 26 May. Those who do not enable 2FA may be automatically removed from the groups in mid-June 2026, and from that point onward, new members must have 2FA enabled before they can be added. (T423119, T423120)
- The arbitration case SchroCat has been closed.
- The arbitration case Michael Jackson has opened. Evidence submissions in this case closes on 1 June.
- Voting for the 2026 Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) election closes on 1 June.
