ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:40, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am very thankful

@GreenMeansGo Hi thank you for reviewing and moving the draft to mainspace. I appreciate the quick help and the clean technical move. I’m still learning page processes, so this was very helpful. Thanks again for your time...(: Non-Veg Craft (talk) 15:24, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey no. Thanks to you. We get so many new folks who want to create an ad for their business or an article on their garage band, it's nice to see someone who's just interested in niche topics. GMGtalk 15:26, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@GreenMeansGo Thanks I really appreciate that. I’m still learning, but I enjoy working on technical and science-based topics, so I’ll keep improving as I go. Thanks again for the support. Non-Veg Craft (talk) 15:29, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've been around for a while. So feel free to stop by if I can be of any help. GMGtalk 15:31, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Russia

You are making positive changes in the topic of the Russian Federation. Is it possible to add the figure of 235,000,000,000 Euros? : USSR and Russian investments. Confiscated and frozen in the European Union. A few words. Russian-language media are silent. : What investments? Which companies, stores, enterprises? : Where will the frozen income from frozen investments go? Six generations of semi-slaves of the USSR and the Russian Federation worked. : Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the Army, Georgia... To them, what, nothing at all? Putin's opinion? Belousov's opinion? Admiral Kostyukov's, General Bortnikov's opinion? : The figure is astronomical/fantastic: 235,000,000,000 Euros! Thank you in advance. With respect and attention to your publications. (Even if in archive) P.S. Ah, yes. Military action from Ukraine. Because of these 235,000,000,000. To the esteemed Mr. President Putin. 91 drones, 182 drone pilots. Several officers with air defense radars, radars, etc. Excited Süget. Russia secrets. They obviously want to give away these 235,000,000,000. Well, eee, m, even Wikimedia is in need. ~2026-13753-7 (talk) 14:07, 7 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid you're going to have to break this down into something much more simple. I'm not an expert on Russia. I mostly just think history is interesting. GMGtalk 14:15, 7 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

This usually goes something more like: "Can we add the fact that Hippos are really fast according to this source." So, 1) very specific thing you would like changed, 2) a source that backs up the change.
What you have here is a little disorganized. GMGtalk 14:35, 7 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon Your recent editing history at Killing of Alex Pretti shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing a page's content back to how you believe it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree with your changes. Please stop editing the page and use the talk page to work toward creating a version of the page that represents consensus among the editors involved. Wikipedia provides a page explaining how this is accomplished. If discussions reach an impasse, you can request help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution such as a third opinion. In some cases, you may wish to request page protection while a discussion to resolve the dispute is ongoing.

If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, or whether it involves the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule— if things indicate that you intend to continue reverting content on the page. Mikewem (talk) 16:21, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Your talk archive is very long. Are you aware of the 2 contentious topics that apply to this article? Mikewem (talk) 16:27, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
WP:DTTR. See also notice at top. Gain consensus for the content or don't. It doesn't matter to me. But nit picking and templating aren't helping you make any headway in that direction. GMGtalk 16:39, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
DS is kinda sorta different from CT, or maybe it’s not, but I guess this could work for WP:AWARE. Could you just clarify and say whether or not you actively choose to ignore CT? Mikewem (talk) 17:07, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) GMG's notice -even in image form- would extend to CTOP. I would also like to point out that you seem to be displaying a WP:BATTLEGROUND mentality here and would advise you to tone it down a bit. ᛗᛁᛟᛚᚾᛁᚱPants Tell me all about it. 17:20, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
If someone behaves as a matter of course in a way that would get them blocked from CTOP articles, and only puts on their best behavior for subjects where it's easier to get blocked, then that person is a jerkwad. So yes. I am aware and I choose to ignore them. GMGtalk 17:34, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

IPBE?

Hi GMG, I'm hoping you remember me from WP:TFA and other Main Page work. I was looking around for active Commons admins and your name kept showing up, so I'm here to request IPBE for Commons (and I can make the request over there if you prefer). I usually use VPN at home, and always when I go to the local library, because their wifi is on a VPN. Can you help? (I tried the "email the WMF option", and wasn't happy with the response I got there, I'd prefer to deal with someone who knows my history on en.wp.) - Dank (push to talk) 21:04, 25 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
