We should always seek to duly give balance criticism, if it is available from sources. But we can't go and cite material from sources that have no connection with the article subject, and associate their argument with the article subject ourselves. So your best bet would be to see if you can find any good reliable sources that make the same point, and then cite them. Did the author or anyone else counter these criticisms?
