Thank you for uploading File:Claude Askew in Serbian uniform.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

Thank you for getting in touch with me about this problem. But I do not understand what is missing. This photograph of my grandfather, Claude Askew, by an unknown (and clearly unknowable) photograper, has to have been taken sometime between 1916 and 1917. It has been passed down to me directly from my late aunt, Miss Gilian (Jill) Askew, youngest daughter of Major Claude Askew. As such I believe there can be no doubt about its being now free of copyright, due to both its provenance and age. But if I have somehow used the wrong terminology to explain this or in any other way describe or label the file, pleae let me know how I may be able to correct that. And you might like to compare this photograph with the one on the same page of his wife, Alice Askew, which does not appear to have been flagged in the same way.
