"AutoPatrollerBot" account
Hi AutoPatrollerTrials! Assuming that you're the same person that created the "AutoPatrollerBot" that I unfortunately had to soft-block just moments ago because of its username, I just wanted to point you over to this page where I added a message for you. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can assist you with anything; simply visit my user talk page here in order to reach out to me and leave me a message. :-) Cheers - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:33, 5 June 2026 (UTC)

Request reason:
Before running the trial, I read the section of the bot policy stating that "Operators may carry out limited testing of bot processes without approval, provided that test edits are very low in number and frequency". I mistakenly relied on that part and did not fully read the rest of the sentence stating that such testing should be restricted to test pages such as the sandbox.
As a result, I incorrectly believed that a small number of supervised live edits would be permissible as a trial before submitting a BRFA. I understand now that this interpretation was incorrect. There was no intention to bypass the approval process, and I apologize for the misunderstanding.
If unblocked, I will not operate the bot again until the appropriate BRFA process has been completed and any required approvals have been obtained.
Thank you for your consideration.Notes:
- In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
- Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:
{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=I would like to request reconsideration of this block. The account was being used for a limited trial of anti-vandalism functionality and made approximately 12 edits in total. All edits were performed under supervision and were intended as testing rather than large-scale autonomous operation.
