Zeniam, aka Zen

I am Zen and live in the San Bernardino mountains which about 2 hours east of Los Angeles. A life-long artist, mostly in photography and sculpture, mom to a young woman that makes me bery prouf and is my best production to date. Born in Los Angeles, I remember going "downtown" and seeing the hippies as I was growing up. My brother and I would point them out with a "there's one!" Little did I know I was to be one, since being a hippie is really a state of mind. I grew up minutes from the beach and now live where I get to see all the seasons, not just spring and summer.

My daughter joined the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic and I started a chapter of the Blue Star Mothers in my local community. We are CA25 and known locally as the Rim of the World Blue Star Moms. Visit us at www.rotwbluestarmoms.com

I became interested in politics once I realized that we are all part of the system whether we like it or not. People that drop out of democracy annoy me. Every voice counts. The "Power of One" is alive and well. Speak up ... speak out.
