SID

The alias for a London born British artist working in the Kitano Area of Kobe Japan. Heavily influenced by Ushio Shinhara and Kazuo Shiraga, as well as Action painters such as Franz Kline and Jackson Pollock. Sid used a mix of mediums from Drip/action painting to silkscreening and manual manipulation.

In a recent interviewed Sid was asked why people should like his art and why he paints. In response, Sid replied, "they shouldn't, I paint for me but if others enjoy it that's a huge compliment and I thank them. As for why I paint, that's a new question for me I paint cos I have to, it's like breathing if I don't ill die."
