User:Victory FC

Victory Football Club was founded in February 2005 and played home matches at local council grounds in the Portsmouth and Hampshire area.


The first training session was held on Southsea common in February 2005, which saw 12 people turn up on what was a bitterly cold Sunday afternoon. After 6 months of training and building a team consisting of local church members and friends, Victory FC played their first friendly match in July 2005 against FC Poland.


In July 2005, the Club was officially registered with Solent Churches League Division 2 ready for the 2005/2006 season. In our debut season, we managed to gain promotion to Division 1 and ended up being the first team from Portsmouth to win the Solent 7-a-side Cup competition.


Season 2006/2007 saw Victory FC make steady progress in Division 1 finishing 4th in the league and winning the 6-aside plate trophy.
