Hostopia was started in 1999 as a Delaware company with its main office location in , Toronto, Canada. The company is a provider of website and email services for small businesses. The company primarily sells its services through large telecommunication providers who in turn resell the services to their small business customers. The company operates in Canada, United States, Brazil, Mexico, United Kingdom, Romania, Spain, Austria, Germany, and several other countries throughout Europe. Hostopia develops a number of popular applications including: EasySiteWizard, EasyContact, EasyMail, Nexthaus Mobile Sync, Merch Engines search engine optimization, and a popular fax to email solution.

Company history

Hostopia started in 1999 to provide small businesses with a way to easily build and manage websites online. The founding board of directors included Robert Kidd, Chris Scatliff, Bill Campbell, Colin Campbell, John Nemanic, Franc Nemanic, Michael Cytrynbaum, Mathew George, and David McMahon [4] The company raised 5 million from investors in 2002 including Telus Ventures . [5] The company subsequently raised 28,900,000 in November of 2006 (25,200,000 after fees) led by RBC Capital Markets and traded on the Toronto stock exchange under the symbol H [6] In August 2008, Hostopia was sold for 124 million to Deluxe Corp out of Shoreview, Minnesota.
