This bio is mostly here to air my most likely conflicts of interest. I work on Mozilla Thunderbird. I have a PhD from the University of Waterloo, supervised by Ian Goldberg, where I researched topics related to privacy-enhancing technologies‎, usually with some connection to Tor. I don't have any official ties to The Tor Project, other than being on the Tor Research Safety Board.
