Simon Mee is best known as being a friend of Ryan Johnson a marine biologist specializing in researching sharks. This friendship lasted for about one year during which time they traded marbles. When they were both about 11 years old the friendship ended. As to why remains a mystery to this day. Above is a staging of the sort of marbles Simon and Ryan would have traded. There is a big bag and a lot of marbles. The box serves as a metaphor for the friendship, like any social construct it has the potential to degrade with time. With this degredation the memories or marbles will roll and fade away. All is lost. Asked for his thoughts on this and the staging Simon simply stated "Nah Bro, it's just a box, a big bag and heaps of marbles. Yep, I think Ryan would like them."
