Nodir Devonbegi madrasa is a historical monument in the system of Samarkand State museum reserve.In 1986,it was inserted into the list of the historical buildings and was transferred to the system of Samarkand State museum reserve.

It was build by Nodir Mirzo Tog'ay Sulton ,devonbegi of Bukhara khanate in 1630-1635. As Nodir Devobegi madrasa is located next to the Xo'ja Ahrori Valiy tomb, it is called as Xo'ja Ahrori Valiy madrasa too.

Xo'ja Ubaydullox Ahrori Valiy was born in 1404 in Bo'stonliq district of Tashkent and was died in Rajab month of 895 Hijri(February 21,1490) in village of Urgut district. His remains were brought to Xo'ja Kavshiy cemetary and were buried.After that his relatives and students were buried there too.

The reason for the establishment of the madrasa at this location is that it contained the residences of Xo'ja Ahror Vali.It can also be understood that establishment of this madrasa in this fortress is a sign of Nodir Mirzo Tog'ay Ibn Sulton's infinite respect for Xo'ja Ahhrori Valiy.

In terms of using Nodir Devonbegi madrasa, the view of Sherdor madrasa in Registan square was used positively.This madrasa is called second Sherdor Madrasa too.The lion of the Nodir Devonbegi on the facade, a view picture of this madrasa resembles a copy of the Sherdor madrasa with the location of the rooms outside the large courtyard. except that towers are not built.

It is one-story,was buit in the luxurious four-porch style, common in the 15-17th centuries.It includes 3 components: classrom,dormtory and staff.

There are a total of 28 cells in the madrasa.There are inscriptions on the portal which indicate the time of the beginning construction,are the examples of the creations of the master of pattern decoration by Xoja Hoshim and the enguineer builder Do'stmuhammad.In 1978 it was renovated at the initiative of Master Abdug'affor Xaqqulov.
