Refugee Tim also known as Tim Towsley, was born on May 30th 1990 in Oswego New York, living with his parents Diane Towsley,and Timothy Towsley Sr. from Fulton, NY. Tim's dad and mom lived together till he was 5, when his parents seperated, he had one sister named Katelynn Towsley, born May 31st 1993, and his sister Chelsea Towsley born April 24, 1995, His mom always had custody of them, Even though Tim always wanted to live with his father, and when Tim went into the sixth grade he moved to Volney, a little town that counts as part of Fulton, he attended Volney Elemenatary, for his sixth grade year, where he met long time Friend Mike Miner, when Tim got in the Fulton Junior High School, he became friends with another longtime friend Matthew Perry, Tim failed his eigth grade year, and Matt, and Tim formed The Refugees that summer, Matt went on to the Fulton High School, while Tim stayed back at the junior high for a year, When Tim finallu got out of the Junior High, and into the High School, for his ninth grade year, He, and Matt had many backyard buissinesses, and later Mike joined the group to be known as The Refugees. Tim moved to C-NS (Cicero North Syracuse High School) in New York for his tenth-half of his senior year, while Tim remained a Loyal refugee, being in Fulton every weekend, Tim moved back to Fulton To finish his Senior Year at GRB High School, along with his best friends in the world, Matt, and Mike.

Tim had a few backyard wrestling buissinesses that didn't really last long, he started with USW (United States Wrestling) which only held one show, which featured the main event, of the USW Tag Team titles between The Refugees (Matt, and Tim) vs Phenom, and XXX, which the Refugees had managed to win, and hold on to for a really long time.

USW had soon ended, and Matt, Mike and Tim had decided to go another route with The Backyard Wrestling buissiness, by changing the USW to MIMW (Maniacly Insane Mayhem Wrestling) which continued Matt, and Tim's Tag Team, Reign, bringing the most feared Tag Team in Fulton, with a year's reign in, with no one that would dare challange them. MIMW was shortly ended, due top not many wrestlers.

MIMW, then changed To AWF (American Wrestling Federation), Tim didn't see a point, but he became a wrestler,and let Matt, and MIke run the buissiness, Tim, and Mike had put on many gret matches, due to the fact that they were really the only two on thw show, because Matt had already dominated the two of them, and Mike, and Tim easily became the main eventers with many great classic matches, featureing main event type matches, such as a ladder match, Tim and Mike had soon been joind by Medium Jay, as he only had two matches against Tim, Tim had one the last one, and Medium Jay soon left, as Many super stars became involved into AWF, the buissiness took of with the joining of Shane Michael (Shane Bort) Tim's longtime friend since Kindegarden, as The show continued, Tim kept his main event status, as he and Mike were two of the best on the show, Tim is a 6 time AWF Heavyweight Champion.

When Tim soon graduated High school, he and his friend Stephen Onolfi, better known as Refugee Stevo, went on myspace and got in talks with Dawn Marie, and Dawn Marie, had given them the oppurtunity to train with The "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal, TNA's former X-Division Cghampion, the Refugees (Matt, Mike, Tim, and Stevo) went through three days of intensive training in August '08.
